  1. What are your thoughts about the use of the newspapers to 'call out' teachers and their effectiveness? Here is an article about the tragic outcome of the recent LA Times article on the 'Value Added' system of evaluation

  2. I'm not so sure it's the newspapers responsibility to point out teacher shortcomings; this would be the school districts responsibility! But regardless, this is a very sad story!

  3. Knowing about teachers and their work could be of public interest in theory, but not this way. I think it is irresponsible to use the result of a test as a final result when each kid is different and education isn't only those systems can measure.
